“Show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works, and in your teaching show integrity, dignity.” Titus 2: 7 ESV

Heartstrings 2016 Mission:

 Telling Our Stories

Women’s Ministry exists to fulfill the purpose of the church which is to carry out the Great Commission. The fuel for effective women’s ministry is the Great Commandment, “Love God…Love others.”  Fulfilling the Great Commission by following the Great Commandment leads to women who are loved, reached, encouraged, engaged, and empowered. Our Heartstrings Ministry pledges to tell our stories so that we can

1.     Lead women to a deeper, more meaningful relationship with God

2.     Lead women to take part on God’s eternal purposes in “everyday” ways

3.     Lead women to demonstrate spiritual fruit

All Trinity Baptist Church ladies are encouraged to find their niche in one of the five areas of service.

DISCIPLESHIP:  Teresa Stout, team leader

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.  2 Timothy 16-17

The greatest assets possessed by a woman of wisdom are knowing the character of God and the Scriptures, and having a heart that is sensitive and obedient to Him.

“Exalt the LORD our God; worship at his footstool! Holy is he!” Psalm 99: 5

SHEPERDING: Sarah Page, team leader

“The purposes of a person’s heart are deep waters, but a person of understanding draws them out” Proverbs 20:5 The Bible clearly teaches that we are able to help others “with the comfort we ourselves have received from God” (2 Corinthians 1:4b). And we are exhorted to

Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. Gal 6:2

PRAYER AND MISSIONS:  Paige Attaway, team leader

“Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.” (Proverbs 4:23)

We are all primarily motivated by a deep core need, a thirst, for God. Over 540 times, from Genesis to Revelation, the Scripture describes different aspects of the heart of humanity.  “…in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect.” 1 Peter 3:15

OUTREACH:  Natosha Jones, team leader

”This is eternal life, that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ,

whom you have sent.” John 17: 3

In all things, we must draw connections to our one true purpose: to know and glorify the Lord. And, we serve using everyday opportunities to demonstrate the love of Jesus.

“Even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”  Matthew 20: 28

FELLOWSHIP: Judy Caskey, team leader

“And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.” Acts 2: 46-7

Women are relational and need to experience the love and support that comes from other women. As we share our gifts and talents to create an environment of ease, friendliness, and acceptance, women feel loved, valued, and a sense of belonging.

"Go and celebrate with a feast of rich foods and sweet drinks, and share gifts of food with people who have nothing prepared. This is a sacred day before our Lord. Don't be dejected and sad, for the joy of the LORD is your strength!" Nehemiah 8:10
