Do you have questions about hosting one of Trinity's Summer Home Groups, or are you ready to sign up? If so, then you've come to the right place!
How long is the series?
The Bible study will last five weeks. The final (sixth) week will be a church-wide celebration.
What's the study about?
This year, our whole church body will study the series Thriving In Babylon. For more information about this engaging video series including a video preview, click here to visit rightnowmedia.org.
What are the meetings like?
Every group sets its own agenda, however we've discovered the best meetings usually follow a simple formula. Typically they begin with a short and informal getting-to-know-you time (often with snacks), then they continue with the weekly video (20-25 minutes), and finally they end with a guided discussion. Most meetings last about 90 minutes from beginning to end.
When do groups meet?
The video series will start the week of Sunday, July 10th, and end five weeks later (around August 14th). Groups set their own meeting days and times, though we encourage groups to meet on Sunday evenings if possible. Regardless of when groups choose to meet, having a consistent schedule (day and time) is critical to the health of the group.
What does a host do?
A host (or hostess) is responsible for providing a clean, safe place for the group to meet. The host does NOT have to feed the group. The host does NOT have to teach the group. The host does NOT have to provide childcare. Of course, the host may choose to do any or all of those things, but we encourage hosts to focus of hosting and let other members of the group help in other ways.
I have other questions.
Great! Use the form below to ask us anything, and we'll get back to you as soon as possible. While we strive to answer all incoming email within 24 hours, it may take us a little longer on the weekends.
