Andy Coats

Pastor of Students, College, & Young Adults

Andy and his wife Cristi love our students. They have a passion for the outdoors and mountaineering. In their free time, they will likely be found climbing a mountain or off on an adventure. But their primary passion is investing in people. They love developing leaders, helping others discover their passion, and investing in people in small group settings. They believe by investing in the next generation that we have much hope and excitement for the future of Trinity Texarkana!

Leadership Development‐ It is our goal to help each student achieve his/her maximum potential in Christ by teaching how to best utilize his/her spiritual gifts and talents. Through our Student Leadership Intern Program, we train and develop student leaders to grow in their personal leadership, work together as a team to help lead Thrive, and serve with church committees and teams to invest in Trinity beyond just our student ministry. We value leadership and love to give opportunities to the next generation.

Small Groups‐ It is our goal to individually invest in the lives of students through one‐on‐one investment and small group participation. We do this through our Sunday School small group environments and our Sunday evening (peer-led) small groups.

Missions‐ In sharing the vision of the church, we want to reach out to both our community and other communities through missions. It is also our desire to develop a sense of community both inside and outside of our walls. Additionally, we want to train and equip in methods of evangelism (servant, relational, and conversational) so our students embrace a lifestyle of missions and evangelism.

Discipleship‐ Our mission as a church is to develop and equip Christians for service. Therefore, our mission is to teach our students biblical principles, truths, and promises that help them discover intimacy with the Lord. We have an incredible group of adult leaders who look for opportunities to individually invest in and disciple this next generation.

Worship‐ We have a weekly service on Wednesday nights to provide students with the opportunity to actively participate in worship with their peers. We will teach lifestyle worship incorporating acts of worship through prayer, service, the arts, singing, fellowship, and teaching. Our goal is to create an environment that is welcoming, relational, and real. Come be part of this incredible community!
