I am always concerned about the condition of our church. I want to know and understand the health of the church. I want accuracy; I want the truth about our condition. I do not want to live in denial and then one day come to the realization I didn't want to face the facts about church health. Thom Rainer wrote all about this in his book (same title). In his estimation, there are signals to watch for when a church is on decline and even dying - physical facilities decline, vibrant ministries decline, prayer is no longer important, outward focus diminishes, church disconnects from community, vision and dreams begin to die. Soon the church is in full decline. Consider your church. Does this represent the health or condition of your church. What are you planning to do about it?
