Charlie Elrod has been the Senior Adult Minister since
March of 2003. He was born and raised in Cleveland, Tennessee. He is married to
Carla Sisney Elrod of Coweta, Oklahoma. They were married in 1989. They have
one child Joshua who was born in 1996. The Elrod’s have lived in the Texarkana
area since 1995.
Charlie answered the call to full time ministry in 1985. He received his Master
of Arts in Religious Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in
1988. He served for several years as a minister of youth and recreation. He
also, has served as a minister of education and administration. In February of
2003 after a discussion with Brother Wallace Edgar the pastor of Trinity Baptist
Church at that time, Charlie Felt a change in his calling of ministry and
answered the call to serving senior adults. The ministry to adults over fifty
five years of age has been very rewarding in his life and he looks forward to
many more years of service to this viable group in the future.
